How Long After Contraceptives?
A common question that most women ask is, "How long after contraceptives can I start TTC? When will my fertility be back then? "
Do take note that the more contraceptive pills or drugs were used beforehand; the longer the effect lingers.
It depends on which birth control or contraceptive method you used. Effects may end up lingering as long as 6 months.
Contraceptive methods like oral contraceptives (drugs), subcutaneous implants, or IUD were used, you will need to wait up to 3 months before your fertility returns back to normal.
If intramuscular injections (i.e.: Depo shots) method were used, it will take a longer time for your fertility to return back to normal - up to 6 months or more.
